Beginning Your Own Photo Blog is Easy

It seems like almost everyone has a digital camera these days that can snap photos of just about anything in a matter of moments. Using electronic pictures instead of the traditional film and paper print photos is cost-effective, there is no used paper to end up in landfills and they take up virtually no physical space at all!

Whether you’re an expert photographer or an amateur camera user you’ll still appreciate the convenience of digital photography. And what’s better than just taking lots of digital pictures is the fun way you can share them with other people. There are lots of different ways to share your photos, from digital picture frames to printing them out to keeping them on your cell phone. Starting your own web log is a great side project for almost anyone, whether you are a busy mom, high school student or even a retiree.

A blog is a website that allows an author to publish instant updates onto World Wide Web about just about any topic imaginable. A photo blog can include the digital photographs you took on any given day or trip. One of the newest ways to display your photographs to others is with a photo blog. You can add comments about your photographs and you can inform people about why you snapped the images and where you were when you took them.

To begin a photography blog you only need to find some free blogging websites and pick a blog name. Most blogging sites are easy to get started with. You just type your ideas out in a post, insert your digital photos from your computer and the blogging site pretty much does the rest. When you are satisfied with a post you “publish” it and everyone on the planet can instantly view it!

Don’t forget a blog can be a two-way communication site! With a photography web log you can not only share your photos with others but you can also allow visitors to write comments on your posts. Getting commends from visitors to your web log is part of the fun of putting your photos online. If you allow comments on your photos then you can also discover what other people like and don’t like about your photos.

It is your photo blog and you can put up pictures of whatever you want. You can put up a bunch of images of a recent trip one day and then post images of some flowers in your front yard the next day. Don’t worry about always writing a article that’s going to make other people happy. Just try to enjoy the ability to spread your digital images so quickly with your own blog!
