Do you know how many e-mails I get from gamers, asking if they should use an addon? And every single one of them I give the same answer to. If you want things simpler and you want to level up faster, the answer is yes. This is always followed by, should I buy one or just download a free one. Their argument is the premium versions are a waste of money.

I’d like to give you four reasons why the premium is not a waste of money. If you are a serious gamer and want to dominate WOW, take a look at the following.

There Are No Bugs

I don’t want to be too harsh on free addons, but I would not download or install any of them on my PC. most of the time, these are developed by non-gamers. They are not following any type of procedure for scripting, and because of this many glitches and bugs will occur within your game and PC. These addons are rarely updated and if they are it takes a long time to see the updates. And you know how many patches and expansions blizzard comes out with. Also this doesn’t include just content patches but hot fix patches as well. So you could be waiting weeks or longer for your addon to properly function again.

In Game Directions

What is great about the premium addons is they will always have an in game arrow that will show you the way on quests. These navigation arrows point you in the direction of what you need to do next. This saves so much time in trying to figure out where you need to go and how to get there.

A Guide For Added Directions

When you click on the game arrow a small information window will open, often called a game guide. This guide gives all the information one needs about the quest. For example it would tell what transport you should take to the quest and what things they are going to need there. Some of the more advanced things, like where to find the entrance to the cave. While this might not seem important, I have spent over 30 minutes trying to find an entrance to a cave or tunnel, it is a very very large time saver.

Completed Quests

The last thing I’d like to inform you about owning a premium addon is the fact that it keeps all of your completed quests in check. This way you will never find yourself trying to attempt a quest that you had already fulfilled.
